What is Hair Volume?
Hair volume is indicative of both the quantity of hair on the scalp area/ crown, and actual hair circumference/thickness, along with the appearance of fullness or ‘lift’. By definition, it is the number of hair follicles that grow per square inch area on one’s scalp and the thickness of such follicles.
Depending on hair color (Red, Black, Brown, or Red), an average human has about 90,000 to 150,000 hair strands.
What Influences Change in Hair Volume?
A change or loss in Hair Volume is best understood by learning about your hairs’ growth cycle.
Hair follicles go through different stages:
- Growth Stage (85-90% hair follicles are normally in this stage),
- Transition Stage (when growth has stopped), and
- Resting Stage (when hair shed from the follicles).
If most of your hair follicles enter into the transition stage or resting stage, you will experience hair thinning, shedding or hair fall, loss of volume and poor hair health. Such a change can occur over a period of time due to predisposed genetics, (conditions such as Alopecia), stress, hormonal imbalance, vitamin or mineral deficiency, over-styling or over-coloring your hair, use of toxic-chemical based hair care products.

It keeps the scalp environment healthy, preventing hair from premature shedding, while removing excess oil without stripping healthy natural oils.
Living up to its name, this shampoo breaks the cycle of damage and stress to provide bouncy results from the first wash. Over a few weeks, our customers have experienced improved hair density and a total reduction in hair loss.
Step 2: Volumizing Conditioner
Free of sulfates, silicones, parabens, and perfumes, dyes or other chemical toxins, the application of the Big & Bouncy Volumizing Conditioner should always follow our Volumizing Shampoo. Our in-house proprietary formula is made with Aloe-Vitamin-Sea Mineral blend, super-nutrients, antioxidants, natural plant-sourced vitamins, and plant-based oils providing thicker, fuller, and more manageable hair. These ingredients also microscopically repair cuticles and eliminate split ends.
Both these products are highly concentrated (no added water, no emulsifiers or fillers and as listed above no chemical or synthetic toxins) as fillers, and can be used 3-4X times a week or whenever your hair lacks volume or feels oily.
