We believe knowledge and the correct treatment protocol can help you better manage rosacea flares. But more than choosing between oral medications, antibiotics, or topical treatments for rosacea, the most important question that needs awareness is – ‘when to get started’?

With over 10+ years of success in treating rosacea patients with our advanced SBR Regimen, find out how and when this treatment can improve the symptoms and prevent future Rosacea flares…

How It Starts..

Rosacea is a Progressive Skin Condition

Although the inflammatory symptoms of rosacea can develop in a variety of ways, it typically starts with facial redness and a flushed appearance of the cheeks, nose, forehead, and chin. These episodes reoccur, and the symptoms last longer each time. The skin gets ruddier with the eventual appearance of visible blood vessels (varicose veins) most often accompanied by angry red bumps, pain, irritation, and swelling.

These are the early to moderate signs of the rosacea. Without treatment, rosacea symptoms can become more and more prominent over time.

If you are still not sure, and haven’t confirmed the diagnosis yet, consult your dermatologist along with taking our  Dosha Quiz to rule out other hypersensitive issues like psoriasis, lupus erythematosus, or a carcinoid syndrome.

Is Your Rosacea Serious Enough to Treat with PVO’s Rosacea Skincare?

Our @ PVO SBR Regimen for Sensitive, Blemished, Rosacea Skin is designed to work perfectly fine on people with:

  • Pre-Rosacea (flushing, redness, symptoms quickly disappear),
  • Mild Rosacea (lasts longer, visible blood vessels), and
  • Moderate Rosacea (redness for days or weeks, persistent dilated capillaries, swelling, and bumps)

In other words.. All early to moderate phases of the condition, although we have seen even serious ‘untreatable’ rosacea (ie; resistant to dermatological intervention) resolve beautifully with our SBR line. In fact, our CEO’s husband was our original test case, and was developed by our Ayurvedic chemist specifically for him.  After 10+ years he is still clear as long as he continues to use the products.

All these conditions (and more advanced stages) are, of course, serious enough to treat as it not only affects physically but also psychologically, and sometimes socially.

“Many of our clients seek our help (in desperation!) in the middle of their ever more frequent flare-ups. Our suggestion? – Prevention is always better than cure”!

When To Start?

Our SBR formulas are made of concentrated, calming botanicals, antioxidants, and natural anti-inflammatory bioactives that check overpopulation of Demodex mites (learn more) and treat the underlying cause of redness/ inflammation.

So, it is best to start managing rosacea and prevent future flare-ups either:

  • in the pre-rosacea phase, or
  • when the symptoms first appear, or
  • when the inflammatory symptoms are subsiding, or
  • when your skin seems to be generally happy.

This allows your skin to adapt to the newly introduced soothing botanical molecules + giving skin enough time to heal + work-up the skin’s defense army against future flare-ups.

Are There Any Other Precautions to Follow for SBR Regimen?

Ayurvedic & Clinically Proven – SBR Formulas are mild enough to be used for rosacea, psoriasis, eczema, and other hypersensitive skin issues. It has absolutely NO toxic chemicals, synthetic dyes or fragrances, parabens, mineral oil, harsh retinols, or other skin sensitizing ingredients.

However, if you are using our SBR product line for the first time, there may be a very small potential risk** of an individual allergic reaction, regardless of how natural/organic our ingredients/ formulas are, and even when our products are Hypoallergenic, which means that no known common allergens have been used in the product formula.

We strongly recommend doing a small patch test of our formulas 24 hours prior to full application on 1st usage, particularly if you have known sensitivities or symptoms similar to rosacea. Discontinue use if swelling or itching occur and contact us for a refund.

If you are at more severe stages of rosacea with symptoms such as rhinophyma (enlargement of nose) and leaking fluids from blood vessels – management may become difficult. Avoid triggers in such scenarios and consult your dermatologist or get in touch with us.

** Far more common than a ‘true’ allergic reaction is that Rosacea skin in the middle of a flare is much more sensitive to the Skin Actives in the product and may overreact with increased redness and sensitivity.  In these cases, we will recommend diluting the product and using it less frequently until the flare subsides.  A true allergic reaction is marked by hives and intense itching.  (read more).
